QUICK GUIDE

ARRIVE IN DAYLIGHT.

Please arrive in daylight so you can get familiar with road conditions. The roads in Mexico can be rough so you must drive in daylight. To get to la casita there are 15-20 minutes of dirt roads. You will encounter loose rocks, small ditches, tight turns, and dirt roads. With daylight, you will see road conditions and drive safer. Once you are familiar with the road you will feel more comfortable driving the road back to town.

BRING YOUR OWN FOOD.

Bring your own food to cook and bring your things to drink as well. There is no place to buy groceries nearby. The nearest town is 20 minutes, the name of the town is Amatlan de Cañas. It is a small town with limited things available, they will have all essentials (meat, vegetables, fruit, dairy, eggs, packaged food, and drinks).

DRIVE ACROSS THE RIVER

To access la Casita en la Colina you will cross a river. During the dry season, the water is low and cars can cross. However, you must drive an appropriate vehicle. The river can also have loose dirt and rocks, so it is important to arrive with daylight.

WILDLIFE, INSECTS AND ANIMALS.

Wildlife, insects, and animals

You are surrounded by nature, you will encounter insects such as ants, spiders, and even scorpions. The house is set up so a minimal amount of Scorpios can get in, and we spray as well but still take precautions. When first arriving, look under blankets and make sure no insects are present.
